When i first bought a drone i thought the world was my oyster. Take this little puppy out and do whatever i wanted.
How wrong can one be....
CASA has many restrictions on what you can and cant do. The biggest one is "You may not operate your drone within 5km of an airport and a place where planes take off or land from".
I mean it doesn't sound that bad but when you look at most major cities then you find your major airport is somewhat close, especially in a straight "as the crow flies" line.
In saying this, there are many apps out there to assist you in finding out which airports and helipads are located so you can more easily make your decision.
I found a nice little place the other day on my way home from work. Brisbane drone flying just got a little more interesting for me. I still had to ensure that i was following all the CASA regulations but as you can see the imagery is actually really cool.
From the air so many things look way different. This is one of the coolest things about owning such a good quality drone. These shots were taken with my DJI Phantom 3 Professional.
Where do you think these shots were taken?
Where do you fly?
